Toronto, Ontario December 2,  2007 Teranet and Central Tax Inc. are pleased to announce that effective immediately, the parties have agreed to work together to market Centrale Taxes’ property tax management system to the financial services sector.

For lenders paying property taxes on behalf of their mortgage customers, the system offers an unprecedented degree of automation and control. Centrale Taxes’ sophisticated application imports national tax records compiled by Teranet, and remits payments directly to municipalities.

“We have been looking for opportunities to help streamline the lending process while continuing to make it more secure, and this service really fits the bill,” said Craig Rowsell, Teranet’s National Sales Manager. “Centrale Taxes’ technology helps lenders eliminate manual handling of tax records and late payments to municipalities, enabling a much more efficient workflow.”

“Teranet’s strong reputation for delivering innovative products to lenders makes this deal the perfect fit”, said Yves Varin, EVP of Centrale Taxes. “We’re very pleased to be working with Teranet to offer our automated tax payment system across the country.”

Using electronic funds transfer and payment functions that accommodate varying municipal due dates, Centrale Taxes’ application standardizes and automates payment processes by linking lenders’ and municipal systems.
